I found my first little subject of the day that I’m excited about.
I’ve been walking around for about a half hour and, you know, nothing’s really popping out too much.
But I was walking down this alleyway and I saw these branches hanging out of a dumpster.
Nothing too spectacular.
But I started looking at all these individual branches and the way the light was hitting them. I’m overexposing the branches a little bit and letting the background go completely black.
And it looks really cool.
I’ve just been playing around with it. My goal isn’t really to isolate any of these branches. I want to completely fill the frame and make it as chaotic as possible.
That’s my goal with this photo.
Then I noticed over here there’s a little spider in a spiderweb, and the light is hitting it just right.
So I’m trying to place the spider against the black background so it really pops.
You can see all the textures.
I don’t want to disturb him too much because I don’t want to break his cobweb and have him have to start all over.
But yeah, it’s just amazing what you can find going down an alleyway like this.
I got these branches hanging out of a dumpster and a little spider in a web.
Probably two keepers.
It’s amazing what you can find just going down an alleyway.
