I grew up between inner-city Cincinnati and rural Indiana, two very different environments that shaped how I see the world. After high school, I joined the Army National Guard and served for nine years, including mobilizations for Hurricane Katrina and Operation Iraqi Freedom, where I was awarded a Bronze Star. I spent nearly a decade working in property management and, at age 35, earned a bachelor’s degree as a nontraditional student. Along the way, I met people from many different backgrounds and developed a lasting curiosity about the places people inhabit and the lives they build within them.
Today, that same curiosity fuels my photography and cycling. Most days, you’ll find me walking or riding through Santa Monica with a camera, paying attention to small details, fleeting moments, and ordinary scenes that reveal something about a place and its people.
