It’s a definite vibe in BH. I haven’t shot there enough, but will be there more in the future. It’s gotta be one of the best neighborhoods to shoot in. Bonus, there aren’t a lot of crazy people roaming the streets like Santa Monica so I feel much more at ease.

The more I shoot, the more I’m drawn towards everyday scenes, with everyday people and trying to make a good photo from it. The obvious and extravagant isn’t as exciting to me. I’d rather try to make something from nothing.

Target Camera Selfie
Rule for selfies is whenever I see myself on a screen, window, etc… I take a photo to see what it looks like. The Target one is weird though. It’s a screen right above the self checkout. I’m just looking at myself while checking out. A bit odd but good for the selfie.

What’s A High Level Keeper?
My general rule is about 5% of photos I take are keepers. Sometimes, lower, sometimes higher. My methodology for a keeper is simple. I glance at it and if it looks nice then I keep it.
