GRs are known for their fragility. Specifically the lens mechanism. It will freeze and the only way to fix it is to remove the battery. I’ve returned three brand new GRs that did this shortly after purchase. Recently I noticed this only happening with my current GR when using third party batteries. Keep It Simple
Minimal camera gear. Set the camera to easily capture what you want. Point, click. Move on. I watched a video about a persons (I can’t remember who) minimal street photography kit. It was a medium size bag filled with gear. Of course there were affiliate links for every item in the description. My minimal kitContinue reading “Keep It Simple”
Leica Rabbit Hole
You’ll end up disappointed and poorer. Even though the cameras are awesome.
X100V
It is a good camera.

Conundrum

Anti Gear?
A faction of the proud anti gearheads who have their secret carts full of goodies.
Digital Street Photography
Contemplating selling all my digital cams besides the GR. To me, digital cameras largely produce a similar image. Especially for black and white street photography. The GR does more than enough so why bother with anything else. It’s the fastest and easiest camera to shoot on the street with, and also happens to be theContinue reading “Digital Street Photography”
