Not having a special eye to see exactly what I want to photograph. I think it’s just a talking point people use to create content. Sounds cool and artsy but never helped me become better.
Beach is 12 months a year. Mountains are 12 months with restrictions. If snow is dumped, better to stay away from hazardous conditions. Desert only in the winter. Summer in the desert is brutal.
Our third time in Joshua Tree. First two times were lackluster, but this time was stellar. Sometimes places need a little extra love to appreciate. Now I can’t wait to continue on with desert exploration.
I don’t think so. There’s too much beauty at my fingertips here. For photography, it can’t get much better.
So much to see and photograph. From the beach to mountains to the desert in a few hours. It really is the greatest privilege to travel and photograph freely.

Two of the great privileges we have in this great country. Go AMERICA.
