Every time I go out, I miss thousands of shots. Photos I tried and didn’t turn out or photos I didn’t take at all. I think once we realize this, the missed shot no longer matters.
My Best Work Is In The Future
I hear everyone’s best work is when they are newer to photography. I’ll continue to grow as a street photographer. My life experiences and curiosity of my reality is what inspires me to continually evolve. My next photo is slightly better as I gain a different level of understanding.
Embracing Wabi-Sabi
It’s the most useful principle for my street photography. I don’t wish for the perfect photo. A photo that draws an emotion and sense of place is the goal. The planned photo takes always from the random nature and devoid of feeling. Life is mostly messy as my photography should be.
Biking On The Venice Bike Path
I love when it filled with tourists. I’m weaving in an out of them like I’m about to win gold at the giant slalom.
Best Time Of The Year
For street photography. Sun is setting earlier so I’m can shoot in better light on my regular schedule.
Farmers Market Vibes
My Identity Is My Diet
It’s a very unhealthy lifestyle in my opinion. It’s annoying. You can’t have friends. Good luck finding a life partner. If you do make friends, they must have the same diet. Which means you’re surrounded by people who think just like you. It’s good to associate with people who have different views. I lived this life as a strict vegan for five years. I apologize to everyone I tormented with my ridiculous takes about food.
Corner Camping
We aren’t playing Call of Duty.
Pure White
Like the evil photo villain out to underexpose my photos.
Something From Nothing
That’s what high contrast black and white photos allows me to do.
