Film Really Is The Best Look

It just looks the best. Porta 400 looks amazing in any light. HP5 is gritty and edgy. It’s just too expensive and the workflow takes too much time for me. If I was a landscape or portrait photographer, I’d most definitely shoot film. But I shoot everyday. Usually at least 50 photos. I couldn’t afford it or spend the time it takes to process the photos. It’s May 5th and I have 115 keepers in my May folder. That would be roughly $60 at the least. I’d be on pace to spend $400 this month on film.

Leica Q3 with a 28mm 2.8 Lens and Rangefinder With No Screen

This would the best camera ever made. I rarely use the lens wide open. In macro mode, the Q2M reverts to 2.8 anyways. High ISO is so good, we don’t need a fast lens. Smaller size is better than speed. I rarely use auto focus. Manual focus is so good on the Q2M. I’d rather have a .58 magnified rangefinder with no auto focus. Imagine a Q3 with a lens the size and feel of the 28mm Elmarit-M. Go all out and remove the screen. I like to be surprised when I get home. This would be such a unique experience, the camera would sell like crazy.

Leica Q2 Monochrom Is GOAT

Yes, it’s worth the money. I’ve used a lot of different cameras. It’s unique and easy/fun to use. It does so much. And you become more creative because it’s a mono camera. It’s durable. No moving lens like the fragile Ricoh GR. Relatively small with a full frame 1.7 lens. There’s nothing else like it. It’s the only camera you need.

A few critiques. I’d like to see a smaller camera. The Q2 body is very tiny. It probably weighs less than the lens. Since high ISO is so good on these cameras, why not make one with a 2.8 lens. This would make the camera much smaller. Also a Q with a rangefinder would be cool. That would be the ultimate camera for me.
