If you’re documenting the streets everyday, better to stay apolitical. Engaging too deeply with either side will cloud your vision and impact how you shoot. Plus it will make you a miserable person. Anyone who is obsessed with politics seems to be angry.

I’d rather miss the shot, my intentions are not to make people feel self-conscious or be a public nuisance. I think the key here is to develop an approach that is the most non-confrontational so you can continue to shoot photos without fear of backlash.
