Is a Zoom a Valid Street Lens?
I’ve tried a zoom a few times shooting street and it never works out. I get caught zooming instead of moving my feet and never know exactly what I’m doing. Also zooms are just too big and clunky. Well I’ve been rocking out the Sony 28-60 on my A9 and really enjoying it. It’s suchContinue reading “Is a Zoom a Valid Street Lens?”
The Sun Is Back
We are sun dependent here in southern California. After a good two week stretch with two atmospheric rivers bringing a lot of rain and no sun, we are back. Feels great. My photos rely on the sun. I have very few photos I like in dull lighting.

So Much For 2026 Aspirations
Ya, that was quick. Was messing around in Lightroom and the post processing just looked better in color. Shooting in B/W all year is already over.

What To Do With All This Video?
I have a 126 GB of video clips sitting on my desktop for YouTube. What do I do with it all? I’m not a filmmaker or overly interested in making well scripted and produced videos. I do like taking daily clips of life. I’m thinking that instead of holding onto this video and making itContinue reading “What To Do With All This Video?”
What’s The Best Camera For Street Photography?
This is a tough one to answer. This changes all the time. First it was a Leica, then a GR, then a Nikon. But now I’ve landed on this Olympus EM5 Mark iii. It’s a good mix of everything I need. I’m using my experience with the GRiii, Nikon Zf and EM5 Mark iii forContinue reading “What’s The Best Camera For Street Photography?”
Why Not Some Black and White Street Photography
I’ve gotten to the point where I’m only shooting raw and processing files in color and black and white. Whichever looks best. Here’s a few of some recent black and white street photography.
