All right, day three.
Breaking my camera.
I’m trying to shoot as many photos as possible until the shutter fails in this Ricoh GR III.
So where are we at?
1,800.
Pretty good.
Almost got to 2,000.
I’m kind of running into some technical difficulties because the camera keeps turning off. It’s overheating.
But I don’t even think it’s the camera. I think it’s the battery.
I noticed one of the batteries has a bad chunk in it, so I ordered two more batteries.
And honestly, going out with only two batteries and trying to take this many photos is almost impossible.
I think it’s getting into my head too.
I’m thinking I’m going to run out of batteries, so I’m probably taking fewer photos because I don’t want to end up a half-hour walk away from home with no battery juice left.
So I could definitely push this harder.
And that’s really the whole point of this.
I want to push myself as hard as I can taking photographs.
2,000 photos a day is a lofty goal.
But I think I can maintain it.
And I’m really curious to see what happens.
Does my photography improve?
Do I start seeing things differently?
Does taking this many photographs change the way I photograph?
I don’t know.
That’s what I’m trying to find out.
Day three.
1,845 photographs.
Let’s go.
